MISSOURI BUSINESS WEEK will not be held Summer, 2012.

Are you interested in an opportunity to explore what you might want to do professionally?  Do you wish to learn about qualities all successful professionals should have?  Are you currently a freshman, sophomore or junior?  If your answers are yes, then MISSOURI BUSINESS WEEK (MBW) is for you. 

MBW will give you a chance to do all of that, and at the same time, allow you to experience life on a college campus while you make friends with other high school students from literally everywhere in Missouri.  Management and marketing are the focus, but time will also be spent on team building, leadership and your own special qualities.  MBW students participate in “companies” that compete in a variety of challenges including the production of television commercials, a trade show, web designs and new business profiles.  If you are admitted, you’ll work with a team of volunteer business leaders who will teach about the workplace drawing from their own expertise.  At the same time, MBW is very casual and fun!  A variety of recreational and sports activities on the Mizzou campus are being planned for the evenings.

Student tuition is $750 and includes all expenses during the week including room, board and program materials. Sponsorships will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for those needing financial aid. A request for financial aid will be confidential and will not affect your eligibility for the program.

Selection will be based on the quality of the completed application, good school citizenship, academic and extra-curricular activities, and a positive recommendation from a teacher or counselor.  For priority consideration your application must be completed and emailed by attachment, faxed or mailed no later than March 15, 2012–the earlier the better.  There is no application fee.  Up to 150 students will be selected from across Missouri.

A $500 college scholarship will be awarded to one MBW student at the close of the program.  You may indicate on your application form that you would like more information, or you may call the MBW office at 800-403-0101.
